It's Thanksgiving week and we welcomed an exciting indigenous traditional performance to Brook Park! Azteca Mexica Danza! Tuesday, November 23, 2004, 3:15-5:00 p.m. With the performing group Cetiliztli Nauhcampa Quetzalcoatl in Ixachitlan, which means "Group of the Four Directions on the East of the Continent, Land of the Red People" in Nahuatl, an ancient language of Mexico presents the traditional music and dance of the Mexica, or Aztec, people. Album: Setting up the Tipi
Week 3 of the Mentoring Internship program with the HS of Social Justice. We worked together to set up a Native American tipi. Also shared Hawk feathers from a hawk skinned that was found dead but fresh and intact in Harriman State park.
